I am a few days late yes I know this, but guess what?! Time has not slowed down at all OR the crazy shit hasn’t stopped. Seriously it’s one thing and another over here and I think we are just ready for a break. Will we get it?! Honestly at this rate I am thinking no. We celebrated my birthday on the 2nd, just another day around here anymore. We celebrated with my number one favorite meal our homegrown steaks, fresh asparagus, and family sweet corn! I also made a cherry cheesecake my favorite for my “cake”. The kiddos also finished up school and they are pretty stoked for that! Except, the first couple of days it wasn’t very nice out. The wind was awful and it made it not pleasant to be outside. We were stuck inside with four kids, and I was definitely ready for the warmer weather to get back soon. Being outside all day everyday really makes for an easy summer and this mama gets some sun! It’s a win win in my books!
Since the kiddos have been out I forgot how much they eat ALL day EVERY day! Yikes! We have been hitting up Aldi lately with the fresh produce and some extra snacks for the kids. We decided to try making our own Popsicles and holy cow I am not sure if that was a good find or not! We have made two different batches and they have both been delicious! I will add them to my recipe page now. You can find them here https://heyitsabbey.com/recipes/ We made strawberry ones and Pineapple Lemonade ones! Mouth is watering just thinking about them! I only had 4 molds, so I bought some more off of Amazon, and we are going to try making the fudge bars next! I am sure Sam will be thrilled about that one! Here are the molds that I got https://www.amazon.com/Popsicle-Molds%EF%BC%8CPopsicle-Silicone-Release-Cavities/dp/B08RBYN77Z/ref=sr_1_8?crid=323BKJVFSKSDZ&keywords=popsicles%2Bmolds&qid=1654380511&sprefix=pop%2Caps%2C351&sr=8-8&th=1
Today, Rylee had her last soccer game of the season! She certainly brought her game today. She has really improved and gets a little braver each time. She loves it, and loves her coach and his daughter…they are the only two girls on the team. They really have a strong bond. If you didn’t know them, you would think that they have known each other for years, but they have only known each other during their soccer season. This coming season Rylee moves up, so she won’t be on the same team she isn’t too happy, but she is still wanting to go out for it. I told her we will have to get them together this summer! She is looking forward to it!
